BEFORE WALK DAY
We can't wait to see you on Walk Day! First, don't forget to register online. You may register individually, or form a team with your family, friends, or church. Kids should register too if they are raising funds (especially if they are aiming for our Disney Vacation Prize!) If your young kids aren't raising funds, they don't need to be registered.
When you register online, you can easily set up a fundraising page to share with your family and friends. If you prefer to raise funds offline, you can download a form here or pick some up from LPC. Raising funds is the KEY to a successful walk!
We have some amazing fundraising prizes this year, so set a fundraising goal (raise $200+ and receive a FREE Official LW4L t-shirt) and don't forget to ask your family and friends to sponsor you.
The schedule is as follows:
Staggered Check-In 10:00 a.m. – 3 p.m.
There is a 2-mile walk on a scenic paved trail (stroller, wheelchair, and pet-friendly.
Food and Walk Bags will be distributed.
Please remember that there is a $2 park fee per person.
This year we will draw the DISNEY Vacation Prize at the end of the WALK!
Other Prizes will be awarded after totals are completed the next week.
1. What if it rains?
We can't wait to see you on Walk Day! Rain or shine, we walk for life. If severe weather is imminent, the LW4L will be canceled.
2. Where do I register? How much does it cost?
All adults should register online before the walk. It is FREE to register and participate in the walk. Once you register, you have the ability to set up your own fundraising page and set a personal fundraising goal! We encourage you to raise funds to help save lives and make a difference for moms, babies and families in the Lowcountry.
3. Do I have to raise funds?
Raising funds is not required. However, we strongly encourage that everyone who can raise funds, does! The funds you raise directly help young moms in need and babies at risk for being lost to abortion. Your fundraising dollars help to save lives – it's that powerful.
4. How do I raise funds?
It's fun and easy! Simply ask your friends and family to sponsor you; check with your boss, your co-workers, your church, and your neighbors. Let them know the important cause you are supporting and that every dollar makes a difference. You can raise funds online and offline.
5. How do I get my church involved? Can I be a Walk Recruiter? Can I start a Church Team?
Check here to see if your church is already involved. If it isn't, please get in touch with us by phone or email and we will provide you with everything you need so that your church can make an impact at this important event. To start a team for your church, register under YOUR name first, then CREATE a team with your church's name in the "My TEAM is" section of the registration form!
6. Can I form or join a team?
Yes! When you register, you can specify whether you would like to form a team or join a team. It's not required to be part of a team, but it's a lot of fun to set a goal and work as a team. You can form a team with your family (ex. The Smith Family), your work, your school, friends, or your church. We offer prizes for the Top Fundraising Team and Top Family.
7. How far is the walk?
The Lowcountry Walk for Life is a 2-mile walk on a scenic park trail. The trail is paved, so it is wheelchair, stroller, and dog-friendly.
8. How do I donate?
There are several ways you can donate. You can donate by sponsoring someone who is walking, or simply make a general donation toward our fundraising goal. Click the big coral button at the top of the page. We greatly appreciate your generosity and gifts.
9. Do I get a free T-shirt?
If you raise $200 or more, you will receive a FREE official Annual Walk T-shirt. T-shirts will also be available for purchase at the event.
